In the medieval heart of the school lies College, the original 14th century boarding house, home to seventy boys who demonstrate exceptional academic talent. Boys are invited to join College through a unique selection process called Election. On joining the school, they are known as Scholars and are identified by the gowns they wear.
Though modernised, the accommodation in College still embodies the unique experience that life as a Scholar brings. Boys inhabit the same rooms that have inspired pupils since the school first opened its doors in 1394.
When the Collegemen staged their house play, Drop Dead!, in November of last year, it was possibly the country's only live theatre staged at that time. In this video featuring the cast and crew, boys share their favourite memories from rehearsals and performances of this farcical production.
