Commemoration Service for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

At 0945 on Sunday 11 September, the whole school gathered for a Commemoration Service in War Cloister, marking the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The brass quartet played pieces from Music for the Funeral of Queen Mary by Henry Purcell, and the Chapel Choir sang the anthems Thou knowest, Lord, the secrets of our hearts, also by Purcell, and Upon Your Heart by Eleanor Daley.

There was a reading from Ruth 1: 14-18 and John Donne's poem No Man is an Island. The service concluded with the National Anthem, followed by the Lament, Going Home, played by Pipe Major James Dawson.
