As part of our long-standing relationship with the Crown & Manor youth club in Hackney, London, our Science department recently ran an evening of exploration and experiments for their young members.
A group of 20 club members had the opportunity to handle invertebrates from our natural history collections, learn about the Physics of pinhole cameras, and witness some spectacular chemical reactions. Overall, the bug handling, run by our Natural History Fellow Eve Cavey, was deemed the favourite activity.
This is the latest initiative we have run with Crown & Manor, a club that was founded with support from Winchetser College, which continues to this day.
