I had been practising karate for a long time before coming to Winchester and I was concerned they would not offer it here but they offered more training of different styles than back at home. The two-week sports induction programme really helped me to discover sports I was good at that I didn’t even know existed.  

Our Design Technology centre, known as Mill, is the best aspect of the entire school for me. Mill’s facilities include two 3D printers, a metalworks and welding section, a carpentry area with sanders and cutters. Not forgetting my personal favourite, the laser cutter.  

If you stay in school on Sunday, the day is yours after Chapel. I like to go to Mill, catch up on the week’s TV and go to Board Game Society, which involves playing a vast selection of board games from 6-9pm.  

The best thing about Winchester would have to be the food!
