A Short Half Celebration
Welcome to the Short Half 2022 end of term newsletter with a message from the Headmaster on the many highlights.
On Friday, all pupils attended HM Commendas, the Headmaster's end of term assembly where we celebrated outstanding achievements. A full list of Short Half 2022 Prizes and Awards can be found at the link below.
We enjoyed seeing many of you at Illumina and you can watch our short film, capturing the spirit of the event, below.
Each year, the popular Mince Pie concert takes place in College Hall. Music is performed by Cantores Episcopi, the school's close harmony group, seen here performing 'Walking in the Air', and 'Jingle Bells' below. The group is directed by David Hurley who sang in the ensemble as a pupil at the school in the 1970s, before a distinguished career with the King’s Singers, and is also seen singing here.
Whole School Carol Service
We welcomed many parents to the Carol Service in the Cathedral last week. If you were unable to join us, please find a recording of the full service at the link below.
Charities
Calendar 2023
The Winchester College Calendar 2023 has been designed by pupils and features photographs by pupils and staff, taken over the past year.
All profits from the sale of the calendar will go to the three charities being supported this year: Winchester Young Carers, NSPCC, Stay at School Nepal.
