Lead Nurse, Medical Centre

I have over 20 years’ experience on a busy acute medical unit caring for children and their families, as well as several years as a community paediatric nurse, so there is very little that can surprise me when boys come in to the Medical Centre.

Our team of paediatric nurses know that teenage years can be a challenging time for some so we spend a lot of time getting to know the boys.

While we deal with a variety of medical and emotional concerns, sometimes a hot chocolate and a chat is all the medicine it takes.

It always gives me a great sense of pride to see some boys who join the school perhaps lacking in confidence, leave as confident young men.
