The Governing Body, known as The Warden and Fellows, consists of the Warden, who is the Chairman of the Governing Body, and up to fourteen Fellows. Each member of the Governing Body plays an active role in school life, attending lessons and meeting with boys and staff. They also provide guidance and support to the Headmaster, Bursar and senior team who are responsible for the day-to-day management of the College.
The full Governing Body meets each term and, in addition, each member sits on one or more of seven termly committees (the Academic and Pastoral Committee; Audit and Risk Committee; Development Committee; Finance Committee; Investment Committee; Nominations Committee and Works Committee).
The Governing Body is responsible for the school’s Policies.

The Governing Body of Winchester College has elected Sir Richard Stagg to serve as Warden of the College with effect from 1st September 2019 upon the retirement of Mr Charles Sinclair.
