Recreation Assistant (Lifeguard) - Full-time

Winchester College has a full-time vacancy to join the team at the PE Centre, working as a Recreation Assistant (Lifeguard). The successful candidate will need to be flexible, reliable and a team player and will be involved in all key aspects of operational services across all areas of the PE Centre, including Fitness Room, Sports Hall, Pool and Reception. A National Pool Lifeguard qualification with a Level 2 Fitness Certificate is essential; however, training will be provided if necessary.

The permanent post will be worked over a seven-day shift pattern, working 40 hours, with a requirement for at least one weekend per month.

Exams Invigilators

Winchester College has 8 - 10 vacancies for reliable people to work as Exams Invigilators for 6 weeks in May and June 2017. An understanding of the exam process would be advantageous. Hours of work will typically be Monday to Friday between 1.00pm and 5.00 pm. Payment will be on a casual hourly basis.

The successful candidates will have the confidence to enforce all examination regulations, and will be able to work with time constraints in the exam hall, to deal with confidential information, and to maintain security of exam materials at all times. Training will be provided.

ART TECHNICIAN - January 2017 start

The School seeks to appoint an enthusiastic person who will be able to assist and support the teaching staff in the smooth running of the successful and vibrant Art Department. This will include the monitoring of Health & Safety, helping in the organisation of exhibitions/workshops/events and supervising pupils when the department is open during free time. Technician duties will, in the main but not exclusively, be in the sculpture and paint studios, but, as this is a busy Department, days may vary accordingly. Applicants should ultimately be flexible and be able to adapt and contribute as required. 38 hours per week, term-time only, working Monday to Thursday and Sunday.

DOMESTICS (Weekend and Evenings)

Winchester College has vacancies for reliable people to work as Domestics (weekend and evenings) in several Boarding Houses, carrying out general cleaning duties and assisting in the Dining Room serving meals. The ideal candidates must be self-motivated and able to work both on their own and as part of a team, and should display a high level of integrity and attention to detail. These roles are term-time only, working various shifts, from weekends 9.00am to 2.00pm to evenings (Monday to Sunday) 5.00pm to 7.00pm.
