LAUNDRY ASSISTANT

An opportunity has arisen for a reliable person to work in the College Laundry, mainly during term time, and also to assist with the collection of laundry from the Boarding Houses as necessary. This work will involve moving some heavy items. The post is for an average of 24 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 12.00pm to 4.00pm and Saturday mornings, 8.00am to 12.00 noon.

LAUNDRY DRIVER/ASSISTANT

An opportunity has arisen for a reliable person to work for the College Laundry, mainly during term-time, assisting with the collection of laundry across the Campus, and also supporting in other laundry processes. This work will involve lifting heavy bags. The post is for an average of 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7.00am to 2.00pm and alternate Saturdays, 7.00am to 12.00pm. Applicants must have held a full clean UK driving licence for a minimum of four years or more.

CLEANER

Winchester College has a permanent vacancy for a Cleaner in the Central Cleaning Department. The work will involve general cleaning, and the successful candidate can expect to be deployed in various locations across the main campus. Driving licence preferred, but not essential. RECREATION ASSISTANT (LIFEGUARD) - Full-time

Winchester College has a full-time vacancy to join the team at the PE Centre, working as a Recreation Assistant (Lifeguard). The successful candidate will need to be flexible, reliable and a team player and will be involved in all key aspects of operational services across all areas of the PE Centre, including Fitness Room, Sports Hall, Pool and Reception. A National Pool Lifeguard qualification with a Level 2 Fitness Certificate is essential; however, training will be provided if necessary.

The permanent post will be worked over a seven-day shift pattern, working 40 hours, with a requirement for at least one weekend per month.

KITCHEN ASSISTANT

Winchester College is looking for a reliable person to work in a boarding house during term time only, helping in the preparation of ingredients and supporting the kitchen team in all cleaning duties. This demanding role is term-time only, working 30 hours per week, Monday to Saturday, 9.00am to 2.00pm.

The successful applicant will be encouraged to progress eventually to learn basic Level 2 preparation, and cookery, leading to a recognised qualification.

CATERING SUPERVISOR

A responsible and organised person is sought to work as part of an in-house team, assisting the Functions Manager in planning and supervising both day-to-day catering needs and formal College events. Good communication skills are required, but experience of catering is not essential as training can be given. However, the work does involve the lifting and moving of catering equipment and supplies around the College and there may also be a need to move some heavy items in order to set up for events. This is a permanent hands-on post working 40 hours per week, 52 weeks of the year.

Winchester College has vacancies for reliable people to work as Domestics (weekend and evenings) in several Boarding Houses, carrying out general cleaning duties and assisting in the Dining Room serving meals. The ideal candidates must be self-motivated and able to work both on their own and as part of a team, and should display a high level of integrity and attention to detail. These roles are term-time only, working various shifts, from weekends 9.00am to 2.00pm to evenings (Monday to Sunday) 5.00pm to 7.00pm.
