TEACHER OF GERMAN (Part Time)

The School seeks to appoint a modern linguist to teach German, part-time, throughout the School.

The position will be for 8-10 Winchester hours per week initially and may involve some Saturday morning teaching. There are thirteen full-time, and seven part-time members of the Modern Languages department.

The appointment will commence on 1 September 2016.

Job Description
• The successful candidate will be capable of teaching boys of high ability to Cambridge Pre-U level.
• He or she will report to the Head of Modern Languages.

TEACHER OF ART (Print Making)

The School seeks to appoint a Print Making graduate to teach throughout the School. The appointment will commence either on the 1 September 2016 or 1 January 2017. Competence in other visual arts media and a good knowledge of Art History will be an advantage. There are three full-time teachers of Art and two technicians in the department. Appropriate housing will be provided.

Job Description

• The successful candidate will be capable of teaching boys of high ability to IGCSE and Cambridge Pre-U level.
• He or she will report to the Head of Art.
• Participation in the School's cultural/sports programme is essential.
• All dons are involved in tutoring in a boarding House.

HEAD CHEF

The College currently has a term-time-only Boarding House Head Chef vacancy. The successful applicant, who will be responsible for preparing meals from fresh ingredients for about 60 covers, will have a sound understanding of nutrition and kitchen hygiene. Qualified to NVQ3 (or equivalent), he/she should have experience in menu-planning, stock-control and budgeting, and should be happy to work as part of a team. This role is term-time-only, working 39 hours per week Monday to Sunday.

DOMESTICS (Weekend and Evenings)

Winchester College has vacancies for reliable people to work as Domestics (weekend and evenings) in several Boarding Houses, carrying out general cleaning duties and assisting in the Dining Room serving meals. The ideal candidates must be self-motivated and able to work both on their own and as part of a team, and should display a high level of integrity and attention to detail. These roles are term-time only, working various shifts, from weekends 9.00am to 2.00pm to evenings (Monday to Sunday) 5.00pm to 7.00pm.
