Founded in the mugging hall of Moberley's in the winter of 2006, BoRoSoc now meets every Friday in Flint Court. Its membership consists of men in the sixth-form and a number of girls who come from St Swithun's, Peter Symonds, and other schools in Winchester.

As well as ballroom tango, cha-cha, the waltz, and the jive, the spirit of the society is to share steps which members may have picked up on other occasions - whether on cruises with elderly relatives, or during long evenings in America. As a result, it has been known to hold sessions on rumba, salsa, Argentine tango, and, perhaps most spectacularly, on acrobatic rock'n'roll.
