We are pleased to let you know that the Sports centre will be open for use to Staff and Sports Club Members from 8.00am on Saturday 14th December. The temporary building looks great and many will be surprised it is only temporary!

Fitness suite The new layout looks fantastic, thanks to the hard work of the PE centre staff team.  Just to advise we have been unable to accommodate the shoulder press machine, however our experienced and qualified gym instructors will be on hand to advise you on appropriate alternative exercises. There is one less bike and cross-trainer due to the new configuration of the room, but otherwise all looks bright and fresh in its new home.

Changing rooms Please be aware that the changing rooms and showers are no longer located within the main building, but in the new Pavilion opposite. Please can we ask that users sign in with reception before going to change so we are aware that the Pavilion is occupied. This is very important for safeguarding, and health and safety reasons, particularly during session changeover times between boys and adults’ use of the sports centre.   Members will have the opportunity to make use of the facilities all day during the Christmas break.  Please see the attached timetable. There may be some adjustments to times once term starts in January, so please check the Timetables or speak to the Reception if unsure.

Access route and Parking - please be aware there is currently no vehicle access to the PE Centre as Mill Road is closed until 18th January. Please walk to the PE centre through Kingsgate Park.

It is in everybody's interest that this rule is strictly adhered to. Please also note that it is a requirement under Health & Safety Legislation that members sign the attendance books provided and carry with them their membership cards when they are in the facility.
