SMART GLASSES: IMPORTANT UPDATE

As technology advances, smart glasses have emerged as a recent innovation. Although they resemble standard eyewear, these devices may feature integrated cameras, microphones, and internet access. They therefore have the capability to record, livestream, or share content discreetly and instantly, which can present potential risks to pupils, staff, and visitors, both from safeguarding and data protection points of view.

To address these concerns and maintain a secure environment for everyone, smart glasses will not be permitted on school premises for pupils, parents, visitors, or staff. This stance aligns with policies adopted by other boarding schools we have consulted.

Thank you for helping us balance the responsible use of technology with the protection of our school community. Should you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch.

National Schools Regatta Success!

Congratulations to those pupils who took part in the National Schools Regatta at the beginning of Leave-out.

The Championship 4 came 3rd in their final in a fantastic race.

This is Winchester’s 2nd National Schools medal in three years and all of the athletes that raced made an A final.

A great day of racing by the seniors!
