This Week:
We’re really pleased to share that the swimming pool has now been handed over to the School!
As we embed the systems and get everything up and running, we’ll be introducing access in phases, with pupils beginning to use it during their PE and Ekker sessions later this week!
Cloister Time promises to be a truly exceptional term of music at the College.
Kicking off in style, the School Concert on Friday 1st May (19.30, New Hall) sees the Jazz Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra, Concert Band and more, come together to perform music composed for film. It’s a spectacular evening and free tickets are available in advance online and on the door.
Sunday 10th May brings a double treat: our Spotlight on…Piano event (11:30, Music School Hall) celebrates the incredible piano talent from across the school, followed that evening by the Kirby Prize for Composition (19:30), where original student compositions will be adjudicated by Dr Luke Lewis, Departmental Lecturer in Music at the University of Oxford.

We have a fantastic term of drama ahead and would love to see you join us.
We begin on Thursday 23rd April with a celebration of Shakespeare’s Birthday (19.00, QEII). Our regular LAMDA Monologue Evenings continue this term on Tuesday 12 May (19.30, QEII), which should be a brilliant showcase of individual performance talent. Later in May, The Persians takes to the stage on Friday 15 and Saturday 16 May (19.30, QEII). Written by Aeschylus in 472 BC, it is the oldest surviving piece of ancient Greek drama, that focuses on the Persian defeat at the Battle of Salamis from the Persian perspective.
We close with the Junior Drama Festival on Thursday 25 June (08.45–13.00, QEII), a hugely enjoyable morning celebrating the dramatic talent of our younger pupils.
More details on the performances of The Persians and the Junior Drama Festival will be shared soon!
