Matron, Morshead's

I recently joined Winchester College from Canford School where I was a girls’ boarding house Matron for over six years. I thoroughly enjoy being part of a school community and building the family culture that is such an important part of boarding. I feel very privileged to be working in such beautiful surroundings, with young people from diverse backgrounds.

Prior to becoming a Matron, I lived and worked in the Middle East for almost ten years and have travelled extensively as Cabin Crew with a Private Airline and British Airways and have found it a very useful foundation for my current role; meeting different nationalities, understanding distinct cultures and responding to individuals’ needs.

In addition to the numerous pupils I have looked after as a Matron, I have my own children aged 22 and 18 so have lots of experience listening to concerns, answering questions and helping in whichever way I can.
