Financial support to go to Winchester College

Admissions

Financial support

Winchester College was established to provide an education for those with the intellectual spark and curiosity to take advantage of everything the school had to offer – regardless of their financial position. That is what we continue to look for in our applicants.

Investing in potential

Winchester has one of the most generous bursary programmes in the country with more than 140 pupils currently receiving financial support.

Further financial support is provided to pupils for trips and extracurricular activities to ensure that those who are in receipt of a bursary can take full advantage of the many opportunities available.

We remain committed to tackling inequality of access and each year welcome pupils from a wide range of cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds.

It is available for pupils who would like to join as day pupils or boarders. It can cover up to 100% of the school fees, as well as other associated expenses.
