Winchester College

Winchester Symposium

On Sunday 29 November, Winchester College hosted pupils and teachers from St Swithun’s School, Winchester, Godolphin School, Salisbury and Downe House School, Cold Ash, at the first Winchester Symposium of 2009–10.  Pupils worked together in Mathematics, French, History and Art History and participated in activities on a range of topics, from Sierpinski triangles to Hobbes’s view of the sovereign and from Molière to Dora Carrington.  All participants enjoyed a good lunch in School and the opportunity for some serious intellectual exchange with their peers at other schools.
