Goddard Legacy Society
Throughout its history, benefactors have helped Winchester College in different ways and many have generously remembered the College in their Wills. Providing for Winchester through a bequest can help shape the future of the School and enable it to maintain its pursuit of all-round excellence.
The Goddard Legacy Society is named after a remarkable Winchester Headmaster William Stanley Goddard (1793-1809), who left a large legacy to the School on his death in 1845.
Membership of the Society is open to those who contribute to Winchester's future through a bequest. Membership is growing and there are now 185 members.
The Society's annual lunch is held in the autumn at Winchester College. The lunch allows members to keep up-to-date with the School's progress and plans, and provides a pleasant opportunity to meet old friends. Please contact David Fellowes, Director of Winchester College Society, if you are interested in becoming a member of the Society and would like an invitation to the next lunch.
Leaving a Legacy to Winchester College is a straightforward process. Please complete and return a Legacy form for this purpose.
