Science Library

The Science Library is situated on the first floor of Science School and has over 5000 books covering all aspects of science. All new acquisitions are searchable on the on-line database available School-wide. The back catalogue is being added retrospectively and will in due course cover all the material. It takes 16 magazines of a scientific and general nature and two daily newspapers. Books may be borrowed for up to three weeks at a time and may be taken out for the holidays. Personal subscriptions to the New Scientist magazine (at a reduced rate) can be arranged by the Science Librarian.

As well as being a refuge for people requiring a quiet place to read, study or do their marking, the Science Library is also sometimes used for teaching small groups. It is also the home of the Natural History Society (NHS) book collection.

The library contains all written materials of use to boys studying one or more of the sciences. The main School library (Moberly Library) has a smaller selection of books on more general scientific topics and acts as a complement to this library’s more detailed material.
